Item 8.01 Other Events.
On July 17, 2023, Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it completed its rolling submission of a New Drug Application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration seeking accelerated approval of resmetirom for the treatment of NASH with liver fibrosis. A copy of the press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
