EXPLANATORY NOTE

SodaStream International Ltd. (the “Company”) hereby announces that, in accordance with its practice to disclose open market purchases of its ordinary shares by its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, on May 29, 2018 and May 30, 2018, Daniel Erdreich, the Chief Financial Officer of the Company, purchased an aggregate of 1,000 ordinary shares of the Company in open market transactions at an average price per share of $86.60.
