Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On July 30, 2020, G. Walter Loewenbaum provided notice to Luminex Corporation (the “Company”) of his resignation as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company (the “Board”), and from his service as the Board’s Chairman and on the Board’s executive committee. Mr. Lowenbaum’s resignation will, in each case, be effective August 3, 2020. Mr. Loewenbaum’s decision to resign was not the result of any disagreement with the Company.
