MARKWEST HYDROCARBON INCREASES
QUARTERLY CASH DIVIDEND TO $0.36 PER SHARE

DENVER—July 20, 2007 — MarkWest Hydrocarbon, Inc. (AMEX: MWP), today announced that its Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.36 per share of common stock for the second quarter of 2007, for an implied annual dividend rate of $1.44 per share.  The second quarter 2007 cash dividend represents an increase of $0.04 per share, or 13 percent, over the first quarter 2007 dividend, and an increase of $0.12 per share, or 50 percent, over the second quarter 2006 dividend.  The Board of Directors declared the dividend payable on August 21, 2007, to the stockholders of record as of the close of business on August 9, 2007.  The ex-dividend date is August 7, 2007.
