ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF A NEW DIRECTOR JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - (Business Wire) - November 10, 2003 - FPIC Insurance Group, Inc. (the "Company" or "FPIC") (Nasdaq symbol: FPIC) reported today the appointment of John G. Rich to its Board of Directors. Mr. Rich was appointed to serve on the Company's Board until the 2004 Annual Meeting of Shareholders to fill the vacancy created by the death of Gaston J. Acosta-Rua, M.D. in May 2003. Robert O. Baratta, M.D., Chairman of the Board of Directors, said, "We are pleased to welcome John Rich to our Board.
