IDN’s exclusive technology began with its first patent issued in 1996. The new Patent reinforces IDN’s innovation in this technology and the variety of uses it provides.
The patent allows for verifying and authenticating the encoded information on driver licenses of all 50 states and other North American driver licenses, and allows the information to be electronically transferred in a secure environment to a local or remote jurisdiction for age verification, organ donor, or criminal activity checks critical in fighting both crime and terrorism.
Intellicheck Mobilisa’s patent portfolio contains 9 U.S. patents, 2 Canadian patents and 1 European patent, each focused on the technologies behind driver license scanning and authentication.
