URS Awarded FEMA Technical and Research Services Contract

Contract Has Maximum Value of $35 Million to URS

SAN FRANCISCO--()--URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide technical and research services to the agency’s Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration’s Risk Reduction Division. The contract has a one-year initial term, followed by four one-year option periods, and has a maximum value of $35 million to URS, assuming all of the option periods are exercised.

Under the terms of the contract, URS will provide the Risk Reduction Division’s Building Science Branch with architectural and engineering research, studies, assessments and other services to support the Division’s work in developing guidance for fostering a disaster-resilient built environment.
