NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In the continued development of the firm’s Fixed Income Division, Jefferies today announced the appointment of Daniel A. Brierley as a Senior Vice President and Trader within the firm’s Rates business.
In a joint statement, Christopher Bury and Dan Markaity, Co-Heads of Jefferies’ Global Fixed Income Rates Business, commented, “We are pleased to welcome Daniel to Jefferies. His product expertise and experience will make a meaningful and immediate contribution as we continue the growth and expansion of our global rates business.”
Jefferies’ Global Rates Group includes more than 120 professionals in the U.S., London, Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo, with global distribution and primary and secondary trading capabilities. Jefferies’ broader fixed income business now has nearly 525 professionals globally focused on the sales and trading of investment grade corporate bonds, high yield bonds, government and agency securities, repo finance, mortgage- and asset-backed securities, municipal bonds, whole loans, leveraged loans, distressed securities and emerging markets debt.
Mr. Brierley joins Jefferies from Credit Suisse, where he spent 12 years and was most recently a Director in Rates Trading. He received a BA from Yale University.
