NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jefferies today announced the appointment of Richard Ford as a Managing Director in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group. He will be based in the firm’s San Francisco office.
“The addition of Rich Ford to our Real Estate Investment Banking Group is part of a significant expansion of our real estate investment banking and capital markets presence across the United States and Europe,” commented Benjamin Lorello, Global Head of Investment Banking and Capital Markets at Jefferies. “This expansion includes in the last 12 months the addition of six managing directors, one senior vice president and the expansion by our firm into the commercial real estate debt origination business through the establishment of Jefferies LoanCore LLC.”

Mr. Ford brings to Jefferies more than 15 years of real estate investment banking experience, and joins the firm from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he spent 10 years, most recently as a Managing Director in that firm's Real Estate Investment Banking Group. Previously, he worked in the real estate investment banking groups at Lehman Brothers and Royal Bank of Canada. Mr. Ford received his MBA from the University of Chicago, his MSc from the London School of Economics and his BSc from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.
