MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In response to the devastating storms that recently swept the Southern United States, General Mills and the General Mills Foundation today announced a commitment of more than $600,000 to support disaster relief and rebuilding efforts. The financial and in-kind commitment will be made to the American Red Cross and Feeding America. Of the total contribution, $100,000 will go the American Red Cross, and $50,000 cash and nearly $500,000 in product donations will go to Feeding America to help feed those impacted by the storms as well as to feed volunteer relief workers in the affected communities.
