These day-long seminars will allow design engineers the opportunity to work with the Avnet Embedded technical team, as well as technicians from suppliers Hitachi GST, Intel, Micron, OCZ Technology, Seagate and STEC to understand ways to better implement this technology into current and future designs. These sessions will illustrate how implementing SSDs eliminates seek time, latency and other electro-mechanical delays and failures associated with conventional hard disk drives (HDD). SSDs offer high-reliability and performance, conserving power and improving data retention.

“As the largest distributor of SSD technology, Avnet Embedded is committed to providing the technical training our customers need in the most cost-effective manner possible,” said Chuck Kostalnick, senior vice president, Avnet Embedded Americas. “These technical sessions offer our customers a great opportunity to stay abreast of the most current trends in the fast-growing SSD segment and accelerate their time to market.”
