Drum Corps International Returns for 8th Consecutive Year Presenting Big, Loud & Live 8 World Championship Prelims on the Big Screen

DCI Celebrates Top Drum Corps Competition Live on August 11 In More than 550 Select Movie Theaters Nationwide

CENTENNIAL, Colo.--()--Drum Corps International (DCI), together with NCM Fathom, is returning for its eighth consecutive year to present the snap of the snare and boom of the bass drum in DCI 2011: Big, Loud & Live 8. The event will be broadcast live from the World Championship Prelims at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Thursday, August 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET/ 5:30 p.m. CT / 4:30 p.m. MT / 3:30 p.m. PT. This one-day Fathom event will feature outstanding performances from the country’s top marching music ensembles in theaters nationwide.

Big, Loud & Live 8 will feature more than five hours of electrifying performances from 23 drum corps competing in the 2011 DCI World Championship Prelims. The live broadcast will include the complete competitive productions of the top 15 drum corps along with edited highlights of the day’s events.
