(NASDAQ: THQI) announced today that Red Faction®: Battlegrounds™ is now available for purchase on PlayStation®Network for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system for the suggested price of $9.99, and will be available April 6 on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for the suggested price of 800 Microsoft Points.
Red Faction: Battlegrounds is a fast-paced multiplayer-focused vehicular combat game in which fast-attack vehicles, heavy tanks and combat walkers wreak havoc above ground and beneath the surface of Mars. Staying true to the Red Faction universe, players can demolish anything that stands in their way, from military compounds to enemy vehicles, using advanced Martian artillery and explosives.

Each bullet is embedded with a microchip that helps each fired round to curve and home in on its target.
In addition, players that reach Rank 10 in Battlegrounds will receive 2,000 Salvage Points that can be used to instantly purchase upgrades to Darius Mason’s Nano Forge and weapons arsenal.
