PAR Technology Subsidiary Announces $11.3 Million Navy Contract Award in Chesapeake, Virginia

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y.--()--Rome Research Corporation (RRC), a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE: PAR) was recently awarded an $11.3 million contract to operate and maintain the Navy Satellite Communications Facility (NAVSATCOMMFAC) Northwest in Chesapeake Virginia, a component activity of the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic Norfolk, Virginia. The three-year contract calls for the operation and maintenance of various systems and services supporting the Defense Satellite Communications Systems (DSCS).

NAVSATCOMMFAC is an information gateway supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Global Information Grid (GIG), and is one of the military’s DOD Teleport facilities providing both satellite and terrestrial connectivity for voice, video, and data to ships, submarines, aircraft and ground forces operating worldwide in support of Naval and Joint Forces Missions.
