Item 1.04

Mine Safety.

On March 15, 2019, CONSOL Pennsylvania Coal Company LLC (“CONSOL”), a subsidiary of CONSOL Energy Inc., received a written imminent danger order issued by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (“MSHA”) under Section 107(a) of the Mine Act at the Bailey Mine, which is part of the Pennsylvania Mining Complex. The order alleged that two miners were observed traveling on a battery-operated scoop, outside of the operator’s compartment, in the 7L Headgate section. All activity was stopped immediately in that area. No miners were injured due to the condition alleged in the order, and CONSOL worked with MSHA to investigate this situation. Immediate corrective measures have been taken by CONSOL.
